State of the African Diaspora

A NEW STATE, WITHOUT BORDERS

Space: The Pan-African Satellite

Africa spends billions of dollars every year using foreign satellites. It’s now a matter of acquiring African satellites to ensure total independence in this field, which concerns telecommunications, research, agriculture, education, the environment, and so on. In 2016, the African Union moved in this direction by adopting a text entitled “African Space Policy and Strategy”, and by promoting the development of space programs, their financial support and scientific collaboration, some countries have already

started launching their own satellites. With the support of Astrophysicist Cheikh Modibo Diarra, who has led several NASA programs, we intend to create a launchpad in Africa and a satellite to be launched from Africa. This satellite will be called
NUT_1, named after the Goddess of Heaven, in Egyptian mythology.
